where does the time go???? its april already ?? last week was a very busy week that bled into this kinda busy week and i feel like im losing all track of time.
Thinking that I should make a page for longer format writing. I want a place to put down all my underbaked thoughts on the world and what I've been through when they don't fit the vibe here.
In the middle of Gilmore Girls S4 and I feel so much for Lane. Desperately wanting your parent to love you as you are and knowing that it just will not happen.
Been knitting a lot lately in an attempt to put the damn phone down and it has been going very well! I've made a stack of dishclothes and learned how to read a written pattern finally (10+ years after originally learning to knit lol).
I keep finding myself accidentally absorbed in my phone (particularly scrollling FB or Insta) and every time I snap out of it it makes me want to throw my damn phone away. This shit isn't serving me!
False spring is so fucking funny because what do you mean my top artist this month is Kenny Chesney (followed closely by System Of A Down).
I got to drive up to MI yesterday and cruise up the highway listening to a few different throwback albums with the window down and my radio all the way up. That always sort of re-centers me. Got some Wise Guy's Velvet Orchard rosin and it's easily the smoothest I've ever had.
I splurged on a puffco proxy a few weeks ago and I'm very much in love with it. I've spent my day off curled up on the couch with it and a copy of House Of Leaves. :)
I seem to have survived The Big February Slump. I have done so little over the past month but I'm choosing to not feel bad about it. All creatures must rest.
After at least one (if not two) full years without upgrading my jewelery for my septum or wearing any in my lobes, I finally got a new pair of glass plugs to start restretching my ears AND I stretched my septum up to 12g. Feeling very fly despite being sick as a dog right now. :)
We should add a 13th month to the year where you just play videogames and take naps and theres no work.
I've been spending a lot of time this past week reading. Perhaps an irresponsible amount of time (I'm running out of clean laundry, oops). I've read most of The Martian in the last day or so and also just finished a surival/body horror novel earlier in the week. It feels good to have a head start on my reading goal. Anytime I find myself pulled back into reading like this it reminds me of being a little kid and spending my summer break with my face shoved into library books. :)
Crazy that it's 2026 and I'm watching Northernlion have the best time of his life playing PUBG:Battlegrounds. In 2016 I was sitting in my highschool girlfriend's bedroom watching her rage everytime someone headshot her in PUBG.
January always feels like the part in Twilight where Bella sits in the same chair for like 6 months :/
I've spent today and yesterday piled into K's little living room with a group of good friends for K's birthday. We've been watching the Hobbit and Lord Of the Rings, smoking, cutting the fuck up, and each working on our art/projects. Yesterday I managed to tie together my Anthony Bourdain shrine and get it up live and functioning. Today I managed to pull this together from a template I found. I'm getting quicker and better at troubleshooting and tinkering around with templates so that I can really customize them.
